Hi, it is great that you(don't know your name)organized White Center Music Nights. But it is very sad that not many people knew about it. We went to Salvadoran Bakery because we knew that Miho and Diego Duo was playing. We heard from them when we saw them at Cafe Rozella a few weeks before. There aren't any audience for the music at the restaurant except who are there. Then we knew that "Flamenco Verde
" was playing at 88 restaurant at the same time so we went there. I hope you will do more advertise like putting signs up, banner up,put the ads in Seattle Weekly or Stranger --anything. It is better for musicians to have audience and we who live around White Center know that something good is going on so that we can tell our friends to come over for these music nights!
Thank you!

Thank you Akiko for your comments! We were under some constraints as we were required to wait until all signatures were on the grant contract before we could do anything!

I'm happy to say we are off and running now...posters (designed by Tony Gable, designer of the new King County Logo) will be up starting this week. We are working on booking bands for the next Music Nights which is on August 10 and will be sending notices again to all local newspapers and events calendars.

Notices were sent out to local calendars and newspapers and community radio stations; last year we did this and we found our event not being included. Our success last year was really built by word of mouth and email lists.

This year, this blog will help to keep folks informed about what we are doing. And word of mouth is a tremendous help!

Thanks again for coming...and especially for sharing your thoughts with us.

My husband and I loved the first of the White Center Music Nights this year. Unfortunatley, we discovered the event last year the concluding month. We plan to attend every performance this time. We thoroughly enjoyed Del Rey and Craig Florey at Mehra's Indian Grill. The food was delicious, too. Then we had dessert at Cafe Rozella and were equally enthralled with the totally different sounds of Global Heat. Our only regret was that we didn't have room to eat something at every restaurant. But there's always next month to try again!
